i thing i want discuss with you is that after my MBA(which complete in feb.2009), if i go for CFA along with my job…do you think it will benefit me in long term…
and as a CA you better know how good is CFA in INDIAN context… “i mean kya India me CFA ko wo pechaan milti hai jo ki countries like USA me hai”
    hope you will guide me
you can mail me your ideas on my mail ID : durgesh786@rediffmail.com

  9. CFA does not have a higher recognition as far as the country like India is concerned. Adding degrees wont help till you allign yourself with such a course, which gives you a broader practical perspective. Try and spend your (or your parents) hard earned money where you can reap the benefit in the long run. Do not carried away with just a name.

However, CFA is also an important degree and you may revise your decision on the basis of what you want to secure over a certain period of time in the future. Good luck and thank you for writing to me. Warm Regards

    P. Mama i would love to read something bout Lokpal Bill.
Something strange but I would definetely want ur views on the so called by Anna Hazare ” Fight For Independence 2 ”.

    Comment by Dheeraj Singh — December 24, 2011 @ 16:25

  15. Dear Dheeraj,

I do not approve the methodology of Anna Hazare. What we need is the system at the grass root level. Making Lokpal would also mean a gigantic monster machinery. We already have Executive, Parliament and Judiciary. Media was added later which has added chaos due to their loss of authenticity. Lokpal may also add one feature to the already corrupt system. Corruption CANT BE ROOTED out this way. You need to over-haul the existing system before trying and adding one more pillar to the four pillars of our democratic regime.

Not agreeing with Anna Hazare does not mean I SUPPORT CORRUPTION. I am against the INJUSTICE and SUFFERINGS to the innocents. Hence, I am NOT ANNA HAZARE.

  17. Sir I want to know about HUF and how ti incorporate HUF. What documents r required to incorporate HUF.

    Comment by Rishi — February 17, 2012 @ 21:15

  18. You can form your HUF through small gift from parents at the time of marriage. Execution of Gift Deed of even Rs. 25,000/- is enough to validate the HUF.

Sole proprietorships can be registered only by way of Shop & Establishment Licenses incase you are operating from commercial premises (until there is a need for special licenses for special businesses like IATA, CHA, etc.)

  19. Sir I want to how how to maintain hospital a/c?

    Comment by Srabani — November 22, 2012 @ 21:23

  20. Accounting for Hospitals are as normal as accounting for others, except for some special treatments which needs to be given accordingly.

First of all, we need to know if there are subsidies or grants for running a hospital – ie., if the Hospital is run by a Charitable Institution or by Government / Local Authority. The tax implication and donation must be kept in the mind before paving the way for structuring of accounts.

If the Hospital is run by Private entities, then there are different treatments as it involves tax implications as well without any receipt of grants.

However, a Hospital Account must have Receipts and Payments Account so as to judge the cash flow. Income and Expenditure Account would form part of financial statements followed by the Balance Sheet. If you have any specific doubts, pls revert. Thanks for writing. Good Luck!

  22. Dear Sir

I am reading your blog first time. I endorse most of your views People like you are minority in the country who know and respect Vir Savarkar.I still remember Mani Shankar Ayyar making a negative statement about Savarker.
I found your views close to extreme hinduism, to accept openly this thing is a courageous act. As most of people of today’s world wear mask of psudo secularisam which itself in reality is to appease extreme islam exported from desert Land and some way is to fool the poor muslims by depriving them from modern light of education and making them permanent vote bank and colony of Arab.

I urgently need a carrer advice from you.
Due to not so strong will power , i did not joined CA Course in my youth, Now I am 37 years old having family, two children aged 8 & 10.
I am working as a executive in a Two wheeler manufacturing Co. and getting a package of 08 Lacks.I am working in Warehouse Section. My designation is Officer.
I do not enjoy my work it is repititive kind of activity with no scope of new learning or oppertunity. I am extreamly frustrated my life. and repent for not doing CA being a commerce Graduate, My carrer is stagnated. and do not see any light in this field.
I want to change. I have cleared ICWAI inter first Group in 2002 and CPT in 2010 but I could not pursue further due to my office frustration.
I live with my parents in our house. , my wife is a teacher earning 15000 and I have PF and bank Balance around 12 Lacs, My monthly expense is around 25 thousand.

Now my question is should I leave job and prepare for CA. i do not like to do job and longed for independence.
I can not clear IPCC along side with my job. As I hate my job very much and come home daily frustrated and cursing my self.

i am eagerly waiting your observation about my question.

    Comment by Vipin Trehan — December 14, 2012 @ 20:22

  23. Dear Vipin Ji,

Thank you for your very elaborate message on our blog post. I really share the ideas and concerns that was aptly put up at your end. I would be writing back on current politics soon (on this blog), as to how and why the people are being fooled in the name of reservation, caste-politics, linguistic politics and migration! Its really surprising that such politicians also get huge followers who at times go ahead and destroy the public property as well. Ex-Justice Markandey Katju had therefore, in the recent past, gave some controversial statement about Indians at large. Although I do not agree with him, but at the same time – his statement of “90% Indians are Idiots” would have emanated from such incidents arising due to vote-bank politics based on various criterias (set by the utter-smart politicians of India). Such politics goes on to divide the society further. And we Indians still read the age-old statement of “Unity in Diversity” ….. which I feel is really redundant now!

Look at the Karnataka BJP, where ex-CM Yeddyurappa black-mailed the BJP for too long ….. due to the backing of Lingayat community. So in short, if you represent a certain caste, religion or sub-caste who can really be influenced by you, then in such case, you can still rule the city / state / country (as the case may be) even if you are most corrupt or have caused a great loss to the Government Exchequer. Anyways, coming to your query on career, I would like to reply it separately.

    Comment by Gulab A. Singh — December 18, 2012 @ 20:26

  24. Vipin …………. Please don’t lose heart! Everything happens at the appropriate time! You just cant change your luck overnight ….. till the luck really favours you ….. commensurate with the efforts that would be putting in!

I have noted that at the age of 37, you are drawing a package of Rs. 8.00 Lacs, which is quite a decent figure looking at the fact that you are just a Graduate! Isn’t that an achievement in itself?

You have got a talented wife, who is also sharing the burden equally. Because of joint efforts, you have got a gestation period of 48 months even if the income going forward becomes NIL due to the fact that your expenses are Rs. 25,000/- but your savings are Rs. 12.00 Lacs! Isn’t that a good thing as well?

You have got 2 beautiful children who would grow up as a responsible human in around a decade’s time. Isn’t this a positive aspect too?

You seem to have grown-up in a well-cultured family, where you and your wife still believes in Joint family. You are being shielded (invisibly) by your Parents. Isn’t that great too?

Vipin, let me express my thoughts and advises straight …… although you may not be able to digest it so soon! Repetitive work cannot be boring either. Don’t we have the same repetitive schedule each day as far as the time that we spent at our house is concerned? Is this not frustrating – hmmmm I am sure its not frustrating, so repetitive work cannot be frustrating. Only the work which does not give a proper scope for further enhancement in career can be frustrating!

Only a “Degree” cannot give you a great career! How many of the doctors, CA’s, CS or Engineers do you think would be successful in all aspects of life? There are so many CA’s who just work as Accountants. They have constant stress of being ridiculed by the Internal or Statutory Auditors, so merely owning a degree would not be able to satisfy you. And you have to trust my words! Don’t you also think that there are lawyers who stand at the main gate of various Courts asking for small jobs from prospective clients; and there are lawyers who earn in lakhs each day carrying out only high-profile jobs! So degree alone should not be a necessary criteria for success, although it can provide a good backing to shoot yourself at the top!

If you really want to follow my advise, you must pursue your studies alongwith the job. I know the pressure would be too huge, however the professional degree that you would earn alongwith fulfilment of your responsibility towards your family would be immensely precious. Only “pursuing education” at this age can never be appreciated. Even if you earn Rs. 4.00 lacs in a year you should still keep the revenue meter ON. Sacrificing part of the earning is OK, but getting rid of your work responsibility in the name of education would not only be irresponsible but highly condemnable. I am sorry for being so straight, but frank advises are like good medicines which are not sweet / tasty but can cure many ailments.

Good luck! And I pray to God to give you the strength to take the right decision in the overall interest of your family as a whole!
